Eric Phamdo

Eric Phamdo (he/him) brings his global experience in the nonprofit and social impact sector to his role as a program officer at the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation in Detroit. His passion for catalyzing personal change and connectedness to community is also what drives his yoga practice and teaching. As a past Yoga Service Council scholarship recipient, and now an advisor, Eric is passionate about yoga's capability to be accessible, inclusive, and joyous for all beings and communities. 

Eric began his career managing overseas education programs at the University of Rochester and, later, he worked at Causewave Community Partners, where he consulted on capacity-building projects to develop social impact strategies. Eric has held volunteer roles with both LGBT+ and emerging leaders giving circles in Rochester. 

The son of Vietnamese immigrants, Eric grew up in the Pacific Northwest. He received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Rochester, while also studying environmental conservation and health around the world. He received his master’s in business administration from University of Rochester’s Simon Business School.
