Jana Long, E-RYT 500, is a yoga therapist, meditation facilitator, and cofounder and executive director of the Black Yoga Teachers Alliance, Inc. She is the author and editor of Yoga as a Peace Practice, a curriculum that brings contemplative practice to individuals and communities impacted by violence. 

As a member of the Global Peace Initiative of Women, Jana shares her wisdom and insights in global dialogues about the spiritual dimensions of climate change. Jana also inspires and empowers people 60 years and older to revitalize their bodies and spirits with yoga practices specially designed with aging bodies in mind. She blends her training in Integrative Yoga Therapy and Kripalu Yoga with studies in the therapeutic application of yoga for seniors at Duke Integrative Medicine. 

Jana is also the owner of Power of One Yoga Center in Baltimore, Maryland, where she directs and manages a private practice and small client base. She has spent the last decade as adjunct faculty at the Community College of Baltimore County Senior Institute.
