Jon Aaron is a Certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher and teacher trainer, having received his training with the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. In 2016, he completed his training with Breathworks in the United Kingdom.
 
Jon is a teacher of both MBSR and Buddhadarma at the New York Insight Meditation Center, as well as a teacher of the Makom Meditation Havurah program at the Jewish Community Center in Manhattan. In addition to his work in these communities and following an interest in working with people struggling with trauma, Jon studied with the Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute, which has qualified him as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner®
 
He is a cofounding member of New York Mindfulness Meditation Collaborative and the Global Mindfulness Collaborative. Along with his partner, Upayadhi, he cofounded Space2Meditate, a thriving online community that has been practicing together daily since March 16, 2020, at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
