Julianne Ballón-Casement, MSW, LCSW became a member of the Empty Cloud Sangha and one of Marsha Linehan, PhD, Rōshi's first Zen students in 2011 along with Randy Wolbert, MSW, Sensei. Since then, she has attended numerous silent retreats including yearly sesshins at the Redemptorist Retreat Center in Tucson, Seattle, and San Francisco.
In the past three years, Ballón-Casement has taken the role of the Empty Cloud Sangha's timekeeper (jikijitsu), trained by Randy Wolbert. She is currently studying to take the Zen precepts.
