Kelly Jennings

Kelly Jennings, ND, is a naturopathic doctor and licensed acupuncturist who has been a primary care physician since 2008. With a background in neuroscience, she works on all physical concerns but specializes in cancer.

She currently consults with and treats women around the country who seek a comprehensive approach to the treatment of their cancer. She offers advice on diet, nutritional supplementation, acupuncture and other therapies that can support recovery, and offers counsel to those looking for a second opinion or who are interested in the range of therapeutic options available. She frequently collaborates with conventional MDs and oncologists so that her patients can feel comfortable that they have a cohesive team working for them.

Dr Jennings has been a prolific medical and health writer for the past ten years, receiving several writing awards from publications such as the Townsend Newsletter for Doctors and Patients. She also served as Contributing Editor for the quarterly paper at the National College of Natural Medicine for six years. Before entering medical school, she was a clinical research associate in the prostate cancer division at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. This exposure to cutting edge cancer research led Dr Jennings to pursue additional cancer care internships while in medical school. In 2005 she first met Barbara MacDonald and spent the next years working closely with Dr MacDonald in the teaching clinics, learning more of the specifics of complementary and alternative cancer care.

Dr Jennings' commitment to the education and empowerment of her breast cancer patients as well as to the deeper questions of cancer development, its underlying cause and how to prevent its occurrence and recurrence inspire and inform her practice and her writing. She coauthored The Breast Cancer Companion, a clinical manual for health-care practitioners.
