Linda Lantieri, MA, has been in the field of education for over five decades in a variety of capacities: classroom teacher, assistant principal, director of a middle school in East Harlem, and faculty member at Hunter College and presently at Teachers College, Columbia University. Lantieri is one of Mindful magazine’s 2022 Ten Powerful Women of the Mindfulness Movement, a Fulbright Scholar, and internationally known speaker in the areas of Social and Emotional Learning, Contemplative Teaching and Learning, and Spirituality in K-12 Education.

Linda is one of the cofounders of the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) and one of the cofounders and core faculty of Transformative Educational Leadership.  She is also an adjunct assistant professor at Columbia University, Teachers College and is on the core faculty of a special master’s program through the Spirituality Mind-Body Institute. For more than 15 years she served as the founding director of The Inner Resilience Program which integrates Mindfulness and SEL in K-12 schools.

Linda has authored and coauthored more than 20 articles and book chapters and has coauthored Waging Peace in Our Schools, edited Schools with Spirit: Nurturing the Inner Lives of Children and Teachers, and authored Building Emotional Intelligence: Practices to Cultivate Inner Resilience in Children.
