María Teresa Kumar

María Teresa Kumar is the founding president and CEO of Voto Latino.

Under her leadership, Voto Latino has directly registered over 225,000 new voters and influenced millions through viral, celebrity-driven campaigns.

An Emmy-nominated contributor with MSNBC, María Teresa was named a 2014 Young Global Leader by World Economic Forum and one of Elle magazine's 2013 10 most influential women in Washington, DC. She has also been named  among the 100 most influential Latinos in America by Hispanic Business and one of the 20 most influential Latinos under 40 by PODER Magazine.

Kumar serves on the national boards of Planned Parenthood Federation of America and the Latino Leaders Network. She is a Hunt Alternative Fund Prime Mover and a Council on Foreign Relations Term Member.
