Martine Postma serves as director of the Repair Café International Foundation, the organization that grew out of the first Repair Café, which Postma organized in Amsterdam in 2009.
Since then, more than 21,000 volunteers have helped more than 50,000 people repair as many as 300,000 items for free at gatherings in 33 countries.
Postma travels the world promoting the Repair Café concept as a creative, socially vibrant platform for building awareness about the larger challenges facing the earth.
