Monique Fay, MA, LAc, holds a master’s degree in traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture. She is a nature photographer with a collection spanning nearly half a century, and the author of The Book of Fay in 2008an autobiography told through photographs—and the Apprentice Cards in 2016, a collection of 25 nature-inspired photographs that embody the spirit of the five natural elements of space, earth, water, air, and fire.

Monique is a leader and a visionary in the fields of photography and healing. In 1993, she founded the Rejuvena Institute, Inc., a multidisciplinary center for the healing arts. Her experience with acupuncture and Chinese medicine has given her a strong foundation to pursue and explore the I-Ching (The Book of Change), which she has been studying on and off since the early '70s.

Her Santa Barbara, California practice offers a unique synthesis of skills, wisdom, and experience. In more recent years, Monique’s practice has evolved to incorporate the Apprentice Cards as a powerful tool in both learning and healing, as well as encouraging others to rediscover the healing power of nature. Monique is also creating a range of workshops using the Apprentice Cards, which could potentially lead to a certification program in the Five Elements.
