Olympia Dukakis

Olympia Dukakis has appeared in more than 60 feature and short films and 130 theater productions. She won an Academy Award, an American Comedy Award, and the Los Angeles Film Critics Award for best supporting actress in the movie Moonstruck. 

Dukakis is a founding member and was producing artistic director of the Whole Theater in Montclair, NJ. She is also a founding member of the Actor’s Company and the Charles Playhouse, both in Boston. She teaches at New York University and in theater companies, colleges, and universities across the United States. 

She has received lifetime achievement awards from the Greek America Foundation and the Elliot Norton Awards. She was also bestowed the National Arts Club Medal of Honor and several Obie Awards. In 2013, she was given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
