Shar Khentrul Jamphel Lodrö Rinpoché

Shar Khentrul Jamphel Lodrö Rinpoché is a renowned Jonang Kalachakra Scholar and Buddhist Rimé master dedicated to helping everyone realize their sacred truth in the easiest and most systematic presentation of the Kalachakra Tantra as taught in the Jonang-Shambhala Tradition.

Originally born in the mountains of the Golok region of Tibet, Khentrul Rinpoché spent the first 20 years of his life herding yak and chanting mantras on the plateaus of Tibet. Inspired by the bodhisattvas, he left his family to study in 11 monasteries under 25 masters from all major Tibetan Buddhist traditions before becoming Khenpo (teacher) of Dzamthang monastery. He was awarded the title of Rimé master, meaning master of all traditions, by the supreme master Lama Lobsang Trinley in 1997.

A dynamic teacher whose bold and penetrating wisdom cuts through confusion, his teachings shine a light on our most essential nature. His comprehensive knowledge offers a rare opportunity to engage in Buddhist practice from a non-sectarian point of view and access the profound teachings of Highest Yoga Tantra. Outside Tibet, very little is known about Jonang Kalachakra Tantra and it is Rinpoché's life-long goal to cultivate awareness and offer guidance with a clear and direct approach to study and practice.

Khentrul Rinpoché is considered the 7th emanation of Bodhisattva Akasagarbha. His previous reincarnations appeared three times in Eastern Tibet as Washul Lhazu Lama, Trulku Ngawang, and Getse Khentrul. Based in Melbourne, Australia, Rinpoché dedicates his time to teaching students around the globe. In the last five years, he completed three world tours, taking him to more than twenty countries across Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas.

Rinpoché has authored more 10 books detailing the Kalachakra Path, providing in-depth commentaries and guidance in a clear and practical step-by-step structure.
