Turn shame into strength through writing, reflection, and connection. Cultivate authenticity, empathy, and resilience in a supportive community.

Meet Melissa Petro and hear more about her work as a writing coach.

What if your greatest vulnerability could become your greatest strength? In this writing workshop, you explore how shame impacts your life and learn practical tools to cultivate courage, empathy, and self-compassion. Through guided writing prompts, group discussion, and mindfulness exercises, you uncover the beliefs that hold you back and practice new ways of relating to yourself and others.

Drawing on the wisdom shared in Melissa Petro's book, Shame On You, this program offers a supportive environment for honest reflection and authentic connection. Learn how to identify and understand your personal shame triggers, explore how shame functions in our culture, and develop tools to transform shame into resilience, authenticity, and connection. Leave with greater clarity, confidence, and a renewed sense of purpose.

No prior writing experience is required. All levels are welcome.
