Peter Busby: White Horse

Artist Peter Busby’s White Horse can be found grazing in Main Field on Omega’s campus for the 2026 “Year of the Fire Horse.”

Peter Busby’s work reflects a deep commitment to connection—between people, place, and perception. Rooted in a spirit of inclusion, his sculptures invite viewers into a quiet, shared experience with the environment.

Using steel rod-like lines drawn in the air, Busby creates open, three-dimensional forms that feel both grounded and, at the same time, light. His focus on positive and negative space allows each piece to feel simultaneously full and expansive, encouraging viewers to complete the form through their own presence and imagination.

White Horse, on loan for the 2026 season, embodies this balance of structure and openness. Through form and passage, it invites movement, reflection, and a deeper awareness of the surrounding landscape. Busby’s work offers a moment to pause, connect, and engage more fully with the present.
