Omega Names Marcos Stafne Chief Business Officer

New Executive Role Supports Strategic Growth, Operational Excellence, and Evolving Business Model

RHINEBECK, NY – Omega Institute for Holistic Studies today announced that Marcos Stafne, Ph.D., has joined its executive leadership team as chief business officer, a newly created role focused on strengthening the organization’s business model and supporting its long-term growth.

Stafne brings more than 25 years of leadership experience across cultural institutions, museums, and mission-driven organizations. He will work with Omega’s Executive and Senior Leadership Team to lead business strategy, strengthen and evolve the organization’s business model, and align operational functions with the organization’s mission and future direction.

“We are pleased to welcome Marcos to Omega at an important moment for the organization,” said Carla Goldstein, president and chief executive officer. “As we refine our business model and look ahead to Omega’s 50th year and beyond, his experience leading organizations through growth and change will help ensure we remain strong, adaptable, and aligned with our purpose.”

Stafne most recently served as executive director of White Feather Farm in the Hudson Valley, where he led a multi-year sustainability strategy, expanded earned revenue, and strengthened community engagement through programs and partnerships. He previously served as executive director of GallopNYC and the Montshire Museum of Science.

Earlier in his career, Stafne held leadership roles at the Wildlife Conservation Society’s Zoos and Aquarium, the Brooklyn Children’s Museum, and the Rubin Museum of Art, focusing on learning experiences, visitor engagement, and program development.

“Omega has a long history of bringing people together for learning and connection,” Stafne said. “I look forward to working alongside this dedicated team to support the organization’s mission and the community it serves.”

Stafne holds a Ph.D. in Urban Education from the CUNY Graduate Center, an M.A. in Theatre Arts from Hunter College, and a B.A. from Rollins College.
