Yoga to Help Release Deeply Held Anger

Add to favorites

By Annie Okerlin

Over 15 years of working with veterans, active duty service members, and their families, yoga instructor Annie Okerlin observed that feelings of anger can lodge in our big muscles, hip joints, and spine, creating stiffness and pain. In response, she developed a yoga practice to help release this tightly held emotion and soothe the nervous system.

This simple 7-minute sequence can be practiced in a chair, with or without props.
