To tell our stories, we must first find them. Sometimes they are locked within our body, sometimes they are behind the swirling thoughts in our mind, sometimes they are shrouded by old stories that no longer serve us.
Narrative Healing applies a three-pronged approach to unveiling our personal narratives: meditation helps to still and clear the mind, yoga allows the body to speak, and writing prompts encourage stories to the surface.
Join the founder of Narrative Healing Lisa Weinert and feminist activist and author Jamia Wilson for an immersive weekend of storytelling and healing. During this integration of your mind, body, and spirit, you:
- Find support for your personal writing practice with the space, community, and conditions needed to create
- Experience guided meditations and a yoga-for-writers sequence to allow the body to speak
- Join in discussions with the faculty and get answers to your writing questions
- Use writing prompts to encourage stories to surface and share your stories in groups
Within the container of a safe and inspiring community, you generate new creative work, dive deeper into a creative project, and connect with yourself and the world around you.
Please note that Omega will not be providing yoga mats so you must bring one with you. Faculty also asks that you bring a notebook or journal with you to the course.
