Lisa Weinert is the author of Narrative Healing: Awaken the Power of Your Story and the founder of Narrative Healing™, a mindfulness-based, somatic, and trauma-informed approach to storytelling that begins in the body. An acclaimed book coach and yoga teacher, she has taught and lectured on the power of storytelling at institutions such as Wesleyan University, Everytown for Gun Safety, and the School of Visual Arts, and leads workshops regularly at the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health and Omega Institute, as well as with Fortune 500 media companies.

Beginning her career in literary publishing, she spent nearly a decade at Penguin Random House before becoming a certified yoga instructor specializing in trauma-informed, therapeutic, and restorative yoga. She combined her professional training with her own experience of trauma to create Narrative Healing, a practice that invites people to release their stories in an accessible and empowering way. Through her workshops, retreats, and the Narrative Healing Salon, she guides writers, entrepreneurs, and changemakers to discover and share their authentic voices.

Rather than beginning with the page, Narrative Healing begins with the body—offering anyone, not just writers, a compassionate and inclusive pathway to heal by first listening within.
