Daniel Rechtschaffen, MA, LMFT, a licensed marriage and family therapist, is author of The Way of Mindful Education: Cultivating Well-Being in Teachers and Students and The Mindful Education Workbook. The originator and organizer of the Mindfulness in Education Conference at Omega, he also has helped create curriculum for organizations such as Mindfulness Without Borders, Mindful Schools, and the Mindful Mothering Project.
Along with leading mindfulness in education trainings and conferences at institutions such as Google, Omega, Esalen, and California Institute of Integral Studies, Rechtschaffen also leads mindfulness trainings for schools and communities around the world, such as the South Burlington School District, Marin Preparatory School, and Phucket International Academy in Thailand.
Rechtschaffen teaches mindfulness through music, sports, storytelling, and games and is inspired to utilize mindfulness to help us become more conscious, compassionate, and committed to taking care of this miraculous world we live in. He also maintains a private psychotherapy practice in the San Francisco Bay Area.
