Stu Fuchs is an award-winning musician and teaching artist, empowering people of all backgrounds to express themselves through creative play. A classically trained guitarist, ukulele virtuoso, and multi-instrumentalist, his music spans many styles—he playfully weaves virtuosity, humor, mindfulness, and audience participation in his performances.

Stu’s true passion is to help others make a personal music practice part of their daily lives for self-expression, stress relief, and well-being. A longtime practitioner of yoga and meditation, Stu blends holistic music instruction with practical meditative exercises through an open-hearted teaching style.

Over a 25-year career, Stu has performed small-group jazz with symphony orchestras, presented workshops at ukulele festivals worldwide, and facilitated drumming and music improvisation for everyone from children to inmates, to Fortune 500 CEOs. In 2014, he was awarded a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts to create films documenting his music therapy as artist-in-residence at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.

Stu offers music retreats, clinics, and concerts worldwide and also performed guitar with renowned sacred chant artist Snatam Kaur. He recorded on her Grammy-nominated 2018 release Beloved.
