Explore this playful approach to the music-making process with Grammy-nominated musicians Stuart Fuchs and Sarah Carlisle.

Strum along with Ukulele Zen founder Stuart Fuchs and learn an improvisation game that allows you to listen, stay present, and have fun.

The ukulele offers an accessible way to bring music-making into your daily life. Whether you are new to the ukulele or have been playing it for years, you gain useful practice tips, playing techniques, meditative listening skills, and learn how to approach music-making from a nonjudgmental state of mind.

Enjoy holistic ukulele classes, casual jam sessions, and an exploration of diverse musical styles in a supportive and joyful environment. Ukulele Zen is a unique method that weaves movement and breathing exercises—as well as sitting and walking meditation practices from the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh—and playfully applies them to the music-making process. These practices help you access an effortless technique so you can play for longer and with less discomfort.

You leave with new skills and inspiration to continue your music journey at home.

This workshop begins on Monday with an optional session on Sunday at 8:00 p.m.
