Join us for a unique opportunity to investigate the power of process painting. During this 5-day workshop, we collaborate with investigators in the field of neuroscience to record participants' experiences in relation to flow states during the creative process and the impact of creativity on well-being.
We invite you to share your workshop experience through questionnaires that will be offered throughout the week to add to the scientific research that is exploring these connections.
Artistic freedom is the right to create without being pressured to perform, produce, or succeed. Whether you are a veteran painter or are picking up a paintbrush for the first time, the experience is about creative process and free expression, rather than technique, training, or expertise.
In a respectful and nurturing studio environment, you receive individual attention and gentle guidance to:
- Discover a creative voice that is entirely your own
- Trust your intuitive perception
- Follow your own authentic energy
- Explore process painting as a path to spiritual awakening
There will be no critiques or judgment of the work. This workshop may interest people from a variety of disciplines, including art, education, counseling, social change, and meditative practices.
Everyone who registers for this program will be required to stay on campus rather than commute.
Other sessions of Awakening the Creative: The Painting Experience are available June 8-13 and October 5-10.
