Join us for an immersive 5-day retreat nestled in the serene beauty of the Hudson Valley. This is an invitation to release the weight of expectations and soften the grip of trying to hold it all together, opening instead to the profound wisdom of authenticity, connection, and trust.
Stay on the tranquil campus of the Omega Institute, and journey each day to 13 Hands Equine Rescue. This is an enchanted sanctuary just down the road where more than 200 rescued horses, mules, donkeys, and even zebras live and heal.
In this restorative experience, you rest, revitalize, and awaken your creative spirit in the company of these animals on their own healing journeys. Through the combined power of Mindfulness with Horses and Narrative Healing practices, you learn to listen with your whole body, soften into the unknown of the present moment, and discover the stories within you ready to emerge.
Horses once abandoned or afraid now thrive in the herd, teaching us a fundamental truth: that trust, presence, and love can restore what was once lost. Their embodied wisdom shows us how to release our defenses, support our nervous system, and attune fully to what is—just as we can learn to listen to the untold stories within us.
During this retreat, you'll experience:
- Mindfulness with Horses: Learn the language of attunement through guided interaction with the herd, practicing the art of meeting the moment without an agenda.
- Somatic and Contemplative Practices: Ground your body and breath to access calm and awareness, anchoring you in the reality of the present rather than the worry of the future.
- Narrative Healing Practices: Explore how the stories within you, once bound by old narratives, can be given a second chance to emerge, heal, and take new form when met with compassionate witnessing.
- Creative and Generative Prompts: Awaken your authentic voice and creative flow, replacing judgement with curiosity as you allow your story to unfold.
- Group Sharing Circles: Compassionate spaces to integrate insights and reflect in community, moving from solitary struggle to support and belonging.
Together, we move from the burden of performing toward the joy of connecting, from silence to story, and from isolation to belonging.
